There are moments when I question the world …

It seems there is an abundance of unnecessary pain and sorrow. Man is his own worst enemy.

We could make this world a garden paradise, and yet we choose to follow a path of greed and selfishness. I think ‘tribal instinct’ is very much to blame.
There was a time in human social evolution when the need to form groups was necessary for our very survival, humans are not the strongest or the fastest, and we learned that there is strength in numbers. The unfortunate result of tribal instinct seems that only those of our immediate group, of our ‘tribe’, are wholly human, and anyone else is fair game for abuse, debasement, or being taken advantage of. You see this in almost all aspects of our world. From sports fans to political parties, we treat the people who are not members of our ‘tribe’ as the enemy. If we are to survive as a species we must rise above this and learn to treat everyone with respect.  EVERYONE.
